Start or Sit Week 14 2009
Quarterback Start or Sit Week 14
- Start Tony Romo DAL - If you have Romo and another borderline option, I would side with Tony. 5 TDs and 700 yards the past two weeks.
- Start Joe Flacco BAL - Sophomore slump has set-in, but if you need him, this is a great place to use against the Lions.
- Sit Eli Manning NYG - Your fantasy team has likely not made the playoffs if you are still using Eli. Meadowlands in December against the Eagles does not look appetizing.
- Sit Carson Palmer CIN - Five sub-par weeks in a row, and he could not get much going against the Raiders, Browns or Lions most recently.
Running Back Start or Sit Week 14
- Start Jerome Harrison CLE - Getting a chance to shine with Jamal Lewis done for the year. The running game is his to lead. Chance to shine in prime-time in bad weather conditions.
- Start Knowshon Moreno DEN - 80-100 yards every week and finally finding the endzone.
- Start Matt Forte CHI - If you got to the playoffs with him on your roster, now is not the time to sit him. He is healthy and will continue to get tons of work.
- Sit Michael Turner ATL - If he is given the start, I think the ankle injuries keep him from producing.
- Sit Julius Jones SEA - Never trust Julius Jones. I don't care if he is a starting RB. He is not good and you don't want your season riding on him.
Wide Receiver Start or Sit Week 14
- Start Mike Wallace PIT - If the weather does not look too terrible, you can give Wallace a start with Hines Ward likely to be inactive.
- Start Kenny Britt TEN - The rookie showing some skills and the Rams DF can get picked on very easily.
- Start Robert Meachem NO - Five straight productive games in a row. And he is playing a less-than-threatening Falcons defensive indoors.
- Sit Chris Chambers KC - Matt Cassel is struggling and the Bills secondary ain't half-bad.
- Sit TJ Houshmandzadeh SEA - You've given him more than enough rope by now. Two 100-yard games on the season and a bunch of disappointments. You give him any more rope and he'll hang you and your fantasy dreams with it.
- Sit Mike Sims-Walker JAX - Struggling badly the past two weeks. I would not trust him.
Tight End Start or Sit Week 14
- Start Fred Davis WAS - For those of you that waited to draft a TE back in June, or who owned Daniels or Cooley, you could do worse than a frequently used Davis playing the Raiders.
- Start Todd Heap BAL - Another play for those desperate at TE. Home game against the Lions DF.
- Sit Greg Olsen CHI - Had a bunch of great games in '09, but disappeared recently. You can't trust Jay Cutler, and you should avoid Olsen if you have another play.
Kicker Start or Sit Week 14
- Start David Akers PHI - Has only missed 4 FGs this season. Philly's offense firing on all cylinders, and this could be the nail in the coffin for the Giants playoff aspirations.
- Start Garrett Hartley NO - Should be a top kicker the remainder of the seaosn with the way the Saints score points.
- Sit Nick Folk DAL - Seems like he misses at least one FG a game. Might not see as many opportunities if coaching staff does not feel he can deliver.
Defense Start or Sit Week 14
- Start Ravens BAL - At home against a Lions team led by Culpepper.
- Start Steelers PIT - They may have let you down a few times this season, but you don't want to bench them in a cold/bad weather game against the Browns.
- Sit Cowboys DAL - Philip Rivers may shred the 'Boys for 300+ yards.
- Sit Bears CHI - Also would avoid Aaron Rodgers and the Packers if you have other options.
